Free Order Audit

Free 100-order audit

Connect read-only. We dry-run your last ~100 orders and show exactly which boxes, services, and documents would change — before anything writes to your account.

Free, no obligation. Nothing is written to your ShipStation account.

The Report

What the audit shows you

A per-order breakdown of the decisions ShipStation's native rules leave on the table — read straight off a dry-run of your own recent orders.

Orders with no reliable package
Which orders can't be boxed automatically today because of missing or unmeasured product dimensions — the list to clean up first, so box selection has something to work from.
Multi-SKU orders native rules skip
ShipStation's own docs note automation rules using the Item Name, Item SKU, and Warehouse Location criteria "will only apply to orders containing a single unique line item" (help article 1260807687290). We flag every multi-item order those native rules pass over.
Package-dimension deltas
Where the box currently on the order differs from the smallest box that actually fits — the size changes that drive dimensional-weight charges up or down.
Lower-cost eligible services found
Orders where a lower-cost eligible service was available across the carrier accounts you already connect. It compares your negotiated rates — it never brokers or inserts its own carrier accounts.
Document and compliance opportunities
Retailer drop-ship orders (Home Depot, Macy's, Lowe's) that could move onto a compliant packing-slip template instead of hand-assembled paperwork.
Estimated manual touches removed
A count of the per-order decisions the audit would take off your team's plate — the box picks, rate checks, and paperwork steps that stop being manual once rules run.

How It Works

Three steps, zero writes

The audit runs on the same forced-safe dry-run built into ShipExtension — the write step is turned off on the server and can't be turned on for an audit.

1

Book a walkthrough

Grab a 20-minute slot. We ask for read-only ShipStation API credentials so we can pull your recent orders and products.

2

We run a forced read-only dry-run

Your last ~100 orders go through ShipExtension's dry-run — the same mode built into the product, with the ShipStation write step forced off. Nothing is sent back to your account.

3

You get the report on a 20-minute call

We walk the findings live — boxes, services, documents, and the manual-touch count — and tell you plainly whether there's a real project here or not.

Read-only: the dry-run's write step is forced off server-side

No pressure

If the report finds nothing meaningful, there's no project — and you'll know your ShipStation setup is already tight.

The audit exists so you can see what would change on your own orders before deciding whether an implementation is worth it. Either you leave with a concrete list of savings and manual work to remove, or you leave with confidence that your workflow is dialed in.

FAQ

Free order audit FAQ

Is it really read-only?
Yes. The audit runs ShipExtension's dry-run mode, where the ShipStation write step is forced off on the server — it can't be toggled on for an audit. We read your orders and products to compute the proposed changes, but nothing is written back to your ShipStation account.
What do you need from me?
Read-only ShipStation API credentials and about 20 minutes. We pull your last ~100 recent orders and their product records, run them through the dry-run, and bring the results to a short call.
How long does it take?
The dry-run itself runs in the background in minutes. From booking to a finished report is usually a day or two, and the walkthrough call is 20 minutes.
What does it cost?
Nothing. The audit is free, with no obligation. It exists so you can see exactly what would change on your own orders before deciding whether an implementation is worth it.
What happens after?
You keep the report. If it surfaces real savings and manual work worth removing, we scope an implementation together. If it doesn't, there's no project — you will simply know your ShipStation setup is already tight.
